1. Introduction
Ariestone ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of the data processed through our smart infrastructure ecosystems. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website, use our services, or interact with our integrated hardware and software solutions.
2. Data Collection in Infrastructure Deployments
Due to the nature of our business in IoT, Building Management Systems (BMS), and Intelligent Surveillance, we process specific types of telemetry and operational data. We classify this into two categories:
- System Telemetry: Non-personally identifiable data regarding hardware performance, energy consumption, temperature, vibration, and network latency.
- Access & Biometric Data: In deployments utilizing our Zero-Trust access control, cryptographic hashes of biometric or mobile credentials may be processed. Ariestone does not store raw biometric data (such as fingerprint images or facial photographs) on our cloud servers; all such data is processed locally at the edge.
3. Edge Processing & AI Analytics
Ariestone utilizes Edge AI to minimize data transmission. Video analytics (such as object classification and crowd density) are processed locally on the camera or local server. Only metadata and critical alerts are transmitted to our Secure Operations Center (SOC), strictly limiting the exposure of personal visual data.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your operational data or personal information to third parties. We may disclose data only under the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating our cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure), bound by strict data processing agreements.
- Legal Compliance: When required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or similar legal procedure under Canadian or applicable international law.
5. Data Security
Security is our core tenet. We implement AES-256 encryption for data at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. Our infrastructure relies on Zero-Trust architectures, meaning every device, user, and network request is continuously authenticated and authorized.
6. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy and our data processing practices are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
